Summary of Job Duties

The Academic Advisor’s responsibilities include advising undergraduate business students; assisting in development and implementation of special programs targeted to student populations including freshmen, transfer students and students studying abroad, and students at-risk for academic warning, suspension, and dismissal; teaching Freshmen Business Connections; assisting in development and implementation of recruiting programs for prospective business students and their families; and having a strong working relationship with faculty, staff, and students in the Walton College and with various departments and divisions within the University of Arkansas.

This position will report to the Associate Director of Undergraduate Programs.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least one year of experience working in a higher education environment
