About the College/Department

The Center for Educational Access (CEA) serves as the central campus resource for the University community in regards to students with disabilities and accommodations to remove barriers to access.

In partnership with students, faculty, and staff, CEA staff members work with students individually and assist academic units to determine reasonable accommodations that will enable every student to have equal access to the full range of programs and services.

Summary of Job Duties

The Program Coordinator serving as the Alternative Format Lab Coordinator will, under the supervision of the Associate Director for Assistive Technology, provide day-to-day supervision and direction for the Alternative Format Lab. This will include conversion of all types of materials, including such challenging materials as texts in math, science, engineering, foreign language, and political science. In addition, the Coordinator is responsible for scheduling all incoming requests, ensuring that conversion proceeds on schedule, and ensuring that students receive their converted materials in the appropriate formats and in a timely manner.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

  • The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a major in sociology, public administration, or related field
  • At least two years of experience in program administration or related area
